Running, in its purest form, is an act of rebellion. A way to find freedom amongst the chaos, push back against societal norms and create new paths. In a very real way, mountaineering pioneered this avenue of thought long before we were running trails. Voluntarily seeking places alien and inhospitable, climbers have long sought discomfort as a way to find enlightenment. A battle of mental wits, the journey hinges on the mind more so than the body; the mind is the mountain.
